What's Next?

FireCal :: Q3 2006
FireCal is a lightweight PHP calendar system geared towards web developers. It is based on a custom calendar system we built for our clients out of necessity. More and more, clients were needing a calendar that went way beyond a simple start-and-end date.

The result is FireCal, which will support 7 recurring event types and the ability to specify additional dates and even exclude certain dates from a recurring event. FireCal will also come with a simple administrative back-end and the ability to add additional fields as you wish (ie, location, cost, contact person, etc).

Update 09.05.06: FireCal is about 30% finished. Very slow going, not least of all because working with calendars sucks. More updates as they're available.

Unnamed Project Management Software :: Q4 2006(?)
When we posted our intention to build a new project management application, response to it was very favorable (over 800 reads). We were energized by the revelation that we were not the only ones with this dilemma. However, with our current schedule, we decided to release FireCal first and see how it does. If we're lucky, it will help fund the pms we've always wanted. Stay tuned.

Update 09.05.06: This project still a priority but constantly getting pushed back due to client work. We also have been evaluating activeCollab and think it has promise, so we're going to follow its progress for a while and see what happens.
